Well, hello there and a happy Friday to you!
As a creative business we've been taking part in the March Meet The Maker campaign over on Instagram, sharing a bit of the behind the scenes and the creative processes of what we make. We''re coming into land now and it's nearly done, but I thought I'd share a couple of our contributions over on the blog (in no particular order!!).
Today's prompt asked us what we're proud of...
We’re proud of our Rope of Hope campaign because it’s about something that’s bigger than just ‘us’. These little keyrings aren’t about money for the business (what’s left after costs doesn’t cover admin time of processing an order never mind the making time) but it’s something we’re so proud to have at the heart of Land of Rope and Glory.
Our nephew Daniel was just 3 years old when he was diagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy; a muscle wasting condition that means he’s never been able to walk. It’s not fair. It’s not okay. But we’re clinging onto hope; sometimes that’s all you can do 💛
£2.50 from each Rope of Hope sale is donated to @musculardystrophyuk, a charity that works tirelessly to find a treatment of cure for MD. It’s not big money, it makes only a tiny ripple; but it’s something we can do. An hour of medical research costs around £50 so for every 20 keyrings sold we’re enabling an hour of researchers to get one step closer to what we’re all hoping for children like our Daniel 💛
